Water played a big part in the Trek, everyone had to keep hydrated, so religiously we would have 2 litres available to us at all times. A fill in the morning, after breakfast, and a refill in the afternoon, just after lunch, and then at tea time.
Electrolyte & clorine tablets dropping in to water after each bottle was filled, apart from Christina who had Iodine and I had chlorine droplets… (a bit pernickity but I love to be different!)Gave us the revitalisaltion along with mars, snickers, bountys, twixs and Toblerone! to contine on each day.
The most important water to me though was the glacial waters. The freshness and the pureness of the waters created its own energy.
Even though I never felt the walking on the trek was too hard, or too tiring, when seeing the waters, and being near waterfalls, at different points during the day, it gave me an extra energy boost. It was like the waters were recharging me.
So out of earth, wind, fire and water, I would say I am definately a water girl…
which reminds me, wheres my swimming costume?….
